Lilly Pond reveal at xxxxxxx conference

When Harry Nilsson told me that our friend William Shatner (that's me with him in the thumbnail leading to this page -- we're both in costume for some long-forgotten episode of something, around 1969-ish) was going to sing a cover of Elton John's song "Rocket Man", which Harry had covered brilliantly, I just couldn't believe it. Shatner had already murdered most of the great rock songs of the decade in an ill-fated album release that kept most music fans and even a few trekkers rofling and lmao-ing.
